He's really hard to describe, his voice is like Chris Martin from Coldplay's, and he plays melodic, indie but pop music. Extremely good, and he's lyrics are incredible, you should really give him a listen!

I ran for governor this year, but didn't out of primaries. So far as a format goes, it's a combination of speakers, classes, and hands-on experiences at the capital. There is a lot of homework, but once you get through there's no writing once you get to the class. We also play a lot of Ultimate Frisbee when we've got downtime at camp. :)

Don't tell anyone, but I was at TeenPact for my "vacation", and it was amazing and you should totally go if at all possible. It was so wonderful to get away from my normal life and focus on something else for a week, plus I learned a lot and got to hang out with some amazing people. Worth every penny if you ask me. :)

You raise a good point, compared to some of the other men in the story he didn't do much on his own, but I guess the Lay of Beren and Luthien was more of a love story then a history, so that might explain it.
I'm still working on The Unfinished Tales, I haven't had much time for reading lately. :(
I've heard a lot of good things about that movie, I may need to check it out sometime. :)
Say, you're homeschooled right? I seem to remember you are, but that might just be because you're a fellow Tolkien fan... Anyway, if you are, have you ever heard of TeenPact?

I had to re-read the Lay of Beren and Luthien, but now it's all coming back to me, and yes, Huan is awesome! Actually, Beren, Luthien, and Felagund are all awesome too. I definitely need to re-read the Silmarillion cover to cover after I finish my current book.
I know, it must be terrifying to get up there and jump for the first time...
Not downhill, but I do do some cross-country skiing in the winter. Speaking of cross-country, I don't know how those Olympians do 40-50km races on skis, they must be almost superhuman. I wish I was in that good of shape. :)

Ah! I can't remember who Huan is, now I need to re-read that book again, ASAP. ;)
I've never actually done it, unless you count video games (believe it or not curling is actually a sport on Winter Games for the Wii) but it looks like fun, far easier then say, aerials. I don't know if I really have a favorite event, I get really into a lot of the different sports. I'd like to try just about all of them at least once. :)

No, not really, I remember some parts quite well, but it's been a few years since I last read it, so I've forgotten a lot too. I don't know if I really have a favorite part, but Glorfidel and Tuor are two of my favorite characters. :)
I've been a few times, but I was young enough I didn't really get into it. Since then, I've been beaten numerous times in Wii bowling though. ;) Right now I think I'd prefer curling to bowling - have you been following the Olympics much? I'm pretty much addicted. :)

If you've read The Silmarillion you are officially awesome, and if you've read the Lost Tales you're awesomer yet. I don't remember much about The Lost Tales, but I'm pretty sure they'd be similar with The Unfinished Tales.
I'll have to keep my eyes open for the Circle Trilogy then. :)

Nice! I was going to be done with Christmas music after New Year's, but then I decided I would drag it out a bit, and then I won Shane & Shane's Christmas album on Twitter, so I'll have to listen to that one too, before I pack it all away. :)
I do love books, but I haven't had as much time for reading lately - the only books I've been reading are The Unfinished Tales by J.R.R. Tolkien (which is an amazing book!), and the Bible. I don't think I've ever read any thing by Ted Dekker though.

Haha, yum! I'm a big fan of snacks. ;)
Oh yeah, those are great! Esterlyn was my favorite band for several months, then I played them to death, and had to move on. They should have a new album out sometime in the next year though. :D Speaking of Esterlyn, did you get their Christmas song from IVM?

I'm not a huge fan, but I do enjoy listening to both Mannheim Steamroller & Trans-Siberia Orchestra this time of year. TSO especially has some epic sounding songs, like "Carol of the Bells". :)
That's funny, it's right on the homepage for me. Do you have AdBlock Plus installed? It might be hiding it. Anyway, here's the direct link: http://nyc04.egihosting.com/32k-2741/misc/RadioU_Christmas_Channel_2009.wma
Oh yeah, I remember hearing they re-released it with those three new songs. It's kind of funny that they'd re-release Let It Snow..., when it's already a re-release of their Deck the Halls... CD. But I suppose I'd rather see them doing that then releasing a new EP with just the three songs. What do you think?

Manafest is just amazing, no two ways about it! ;)
I'll have to work on that, maybe someday I can pull it off. I'll need to get a lot of equipment first though.
I have heard them, and I'm not sold yet. Of course, "Keep the Party Alive" was good, and it's hard to tell with 30-second samples if you'll like a song or not. I probably won't make up my mind for a while yet, until I hear some full songs.
Do you ever watch TVU / listen to RadioU? They're some of the best places for music on the face of the earth, IMHO. :)

"So Beautiful" IS the best rap/rock song ever, or at least in the top 10. That song is just amazing, enough said. I just followed him, I didn't know he was on. :( But now I do, so it's all okay now. ;)
DUDE! That airsoft war sounds awesome! I have to do that sometime!

Not much more, I got it with a gift certificate, so I know it was less then $15, at least at the time.
Don't worry about it, no offense taken. ;) And I will say I live in the midwest.
It was an older post, back when most folks had any idea who Owl City was. Actually, it was right before Relient K took them out on tour. And Manafest! I'm excited about his next one (or according to his MySpace blog, TWO!) :) They're gonna be killer.
I don't mind ATTWN musically, but I read an interview they did with Indie Vision Music, and they didn't really impress me much. I know I don't know the guys personally, so I can't know for sure, but I got the vibe that they're more serious about vegetarianism then they are about their faith, which kind of spoiled them for me. :( I hope that's not the case, I'm just not sure. :

Yes! It's got Pillar's cover of "Sunday Bloody Sunday" by U2, and a remix of "Bring Me Down". And then there's the DVD, with the video for "Bring Me Down" and "Further From Myself", and it's got behind the scene stuff from the album and the video shot, a photo gallery, and easter eggs, some of which are pretty funny. ;)
Haha, I can tell you it's not Florida, or Ohio, or Wisconsin.
The thing I have with physical copies is I like having the artwork, since if I get digital I can always rip it, but if I download it digitally I can't burn it with the artwork. : I have some of each though, and if it's cheap enough digital I'll go for that.
I haven't! :( I just have "Fireflies" from iTunes, and "Hot Air Balloon", from before. I love both tracks though, so I'll probably pick it up at some point. It's one of my top 5 albums to get, along with Relient K "Five Score and Seven Years Ago", We Shot the Moon "A Silver Lining", Tenth Avenue North's "Over and Underneath", and something Switchfoot, either "The Beautiful Letdown" or "Hello Hurricane". What are your top five picks?
