no problem! i try to stargaze almost each night, but with the weather here which is either just rain or shine, we get most of the cloudiness so in a month i can get at least three good nights :) there's a Leonids meteor shower this month..hope you can watch it..

sorry i just back to you busy weekend and all..!
Hmm, last year the only planet I could identify was Venus and Mars, so I probably just saw Mars and not Jupiter. Conjuctions are pretty rare though..:) I also learned that the planets, moon and sun travel along the Zodiac, so I hope I won't get lost next time.
You have any luck with the planets where you are?

A conjunction.. of Mars maybe? oh i don't remember either.. :) Mars maybe Venus, or maybe it was with the moon. But I remember maybe it was Mars and it happens rarely, when it comes near the Earth. And then it was in conjuction with something else, ever rarer.. Did you watch the Orionids meteor shower last night?

oh, that's too bad. I live near the ocean so sometimes there are clouds or most times, and it gets clear once in a while. Maybe you saw Venus, if it rises with Orion. But the brightest 'star' (but a planet) we see at night at this time, especially near the zenith early night is Jupiter..i believe.. :)

it's somewhere in Aquarius, the water constellation beside Capricorn and Pisces... It's in the place in the sky where the stars are faint and when you're in a really dark place they say you can spot it with the naked eye. It's area is as big as half the full moon! But I still can't find it!

I would like to go into the medical field in the navy. I read some info and it sounds like it would be a very good fit for me. Plus the perks of being in the navy aren't bad either.
