About Me Daniel Stewart also known as Young Decent was born and raised in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, New York. Young Decent has always known that he wanted to pursue a professional music career. Young Decent started pursuing his music career at the early age of eleven; however he did not pursue a professional vocal career until the age of 17. A few years later Young Decent began playing the keyboard, guitar and recording his own vocals.
Young Decent, in the spring of 2004 began to experience the call of God on his life for a higher purpose. Young Decent had grown restless in hanging around the wrong crowd and performing music that did not have meaning. That spring Young Decent was given a song that helped him realize that there could only be one way and that way was pursuing God’s way for his life. That spring Young Decent had a conversion experience in which he gave his life to Christ and he wrote his first inspirational song “God’s Way”. Since giving his life to over to Jesus Christ and being a faithful member of Onward Ministries Intl. Young Decent has found peace, joy and a greater purpose for his music.
Young Decent currently serves as a minister of music for the Onward Ministries Intl. of Brooklyn, New York under the Pastoral instruction of Pastor Barbara Williams-Harris. Young Decent currently teaches music to inner-city children in the Bronx, NY borough.
Young Decent accomplishments include:

➢ Young Decent has also starred in an off Broadway play titled “The Greatest Gift of All”
➢ Young Decent scored music for an independent film titled "Life through Dance"
