The saga of the Hillsong United movie Let Hope Rise continues as the film is facing another release date delay.
The film, originally slated for release Easter 2015, was dropped by Warner Bros following some difficulties in rights negotiation. Relativity Media acquired the project in March, eventually announcing a September 30 release date for the project. However, the news has broken that Relativity had to drop the film as well due to impending bankruptcy.
For now, the rights to the film have defaulted back to its producers. The film was produced as a partnership between Cantinas Entertainment, Grace Hill Media and MediaWeaver Entertainment. The movie, which documents the music and ministry of Australian megachurch Hillsong and the music which has impacted the world, is currently returned to a state of limbo.
