Here's what's happening TODAY in Christian music...

1. Flyleaf singer Kristen May is going to release a solo record, and she's turning to fans on Pledgemusic to help make it happen. Though she rocks hard with Flyleaf, the singer has a softer, pop side, as evidenced by former band Vedera. We'll likely see more of that side of her with this project.

2. Hillsong Worship is releasing a new Spanish language album, En Esto Creo, featuring versions of their hit songs "Oceans", "No Other Name" and "Beneath the Waters (I Will Rise)." It's not their first Spanish album by any stretch... Hillsong Worship, Hillsong United and even Hillsong Young & Free have released albums in Spanish.

3. American Idol alum Jeremy Rosado is preparing to release his debut album Heartbeat on August 28 through Save the City Records. Jeremy made it onto American Idol Season 11 during his fifth audition, and finished the show at #12, rooming with fellow Christian Idol alum Colton Dixon along the way.

4. With Jeremy Camp and Adie as their parents, it's no wonder that the Camp kids have songwriting chops. The kids were playing a Christmas song that Bella Camp wrote. Looks like Bella understands the release schedule, too.

5. The Outcry Tour, which pretty much has every incredible worship leader traveling together across the land, seems to be going well. After the D.C. stop, Lauren Daigle, who's on the tour, said thousands are dedicating their lives to Christ, and that she's melting at the sight of revival.

6. Jamie-Grace says she's not a good dancer, but she doesn't even care. In fact, she's asking fans for songs they'd like to see dances for, and she'll come up with a little something for them. How about "Hold Me"?

7. Not only is it festival season for lots of Christian artists, but it's also fair season. Lots of artists play at state and county fairs, and Matthew West was at the Jones County Fair in Monticello, Iowa, and his biggest struggle was not succumbing to the temptation of eating a corn dog.

8. David Thulin has a pop protege in newcomer Amber Adams, and the remix master shared with fans his excitement at the location of the photo shoot with Amber. It was a warehouse-looking room with plenty of barrels and rotten wood for a post-apocalyptic, grunge vibe.
Quotes (3)

1. "The less time you spend with truth, the easier it is to believe lies." - Lecrae

2. "Our job is to lay bare our scars for the world see, and talk about the man who healed them. There's no system, just a raw-honest story of transformation. Because by his wounds we are healed." - Rend Collective

3. "Dreams are beautiful, but at some point you have to wake up, trust God, walk in it and work for it." - Louie Giglio via Chris Tomlin
