Curb Records recording artist Jay-Way explores a full-circle life moment on new anthem, "Bank On It," out now. Enlisting the help of KB, the two make a statement that belief and boldness don't have to be at odds. Listen to the track here.
Described as a victory lap with receipts, Jay-Way's "Bank On It" was written in a rare moment of clarity where he could finally see the full arc of his life so far: the pressure, the prayers, the progress, and the undeniable distance from where he started. The track looks back at the seasons he felt underestimated, questioned, and overlooked, contrasting those with the present reality of walking into rooms with a different kind of confidence; not the kind that comes from luck, but the kind that's earned through watching God come through too many times to chalk anything up to coincidence. Writing "Bank On It" with KB in mind, Jay-Way was thrilled to bring on his sharp, fearless lyricism while keeping faith front and center.
"Coming out of a darker period in my life, something people could already hear on my previous projects like 'No, I'm not Ok', I learned to really trust God again," Jay-Way shares. "That's where the line in the chorus comes from: 'I know that God got me, I can bank on it.' When the song started coming together, I knew it needed a faith-based artist who could lyrically take the track to another level. I've been a fan of KB since I was a teenager, so we pitched it to him and he loved it immediately."
With the help of KB, Jay-Way uses "Bank On It" as a reminder that ambition and gratitude can coexist. You can be competitive, confident, and hungry--and still give God the credit. The glow-up doesn't have to erase the source; it can amplify the praise.
