A native of Austin, Psalms of David is no stranger to the wilderness of pain--and no stranger to the God who walks people out of it. His raw honesty and emotional depth mark every lyric, with "He Loves You" standing as a heartfelt cry from the trenches to the broken and wandering. Sung from the perspective of a brother who knows what it's like to feel unseen, unloved, and too far gone, the song offers not just empathy, but a lifeline of hope.
"This song is for anyone who thinks they've run too far, done too much, or feels like there's no one left in their corner," shares Ethan. "When I met Jesus, I was addicted, ashamed, and suicidal. I told God that if He didn't tell me He loved me at youth camp, I wouldn't come home. But on the third night, I heard Him say, 'Ethan, I love you. You're Mine.' That moment saved my life--and I want this song to help save someone else's."
Ethan's journey has been anything but conventional. Called into music at 15 despite initially wanting nothing to do with it, he later endured the unimaginable--surviving an entire year of sex trafficking in 2023. Yet in the midst of horror, he encountered the nearness of Jesus, whose presence and rescue forever shaped his voice and mission. In 2024, his testimony helped save 11 lives. His music continues that mission.
