The longest-running joke in Christian music is about to find its final punchline.

At the height of their popularity, Christian rock band, DC Talk, released Intermission: The Greatest Hits while splitting into three separate solo careers, and for the past 24 years–except for two sold-out reunion cruises–the band has remained on a permanent hiatus.

The band's aging fanbase has mostly moved on, giving up on hopes that Toby, Michael, and Kevin will come to their collective senses and fill stadiums once again. However, those hopes and dreams have been re-engaged with the rising popularity and fast-developing Artificial Intelligence tools that are promising to disrupt the entertainment industry. 

Despite recent legislation passed in Nashville, TN–the hub of many Christian artists and home to all three members of DC Talk–protecting artists from encroaching AI copycats, underground fans have announced that a new DC Talk album has been written, recorded, and mastered, in record time. 

"72 seconds, to be exact," shares one of the programmers responsible for the new project who wished to remain anonymous. "It was done as a late-night bet, and we had no idea that what would come out of a simple prompt would sound anything like these guys, but here we are. What a time to be alive!" 

The album, titled Enter Mission, will be released on Friday, April 12, 2024.
