Christian Music/Entertainment News (8)
1. Rhett Walker Band is spending the winter holed up in a basement-- for a good cause. The group shared a facebook picture of their writing setup, assuring fans that new tunes are on the way.

2. Parenting is full of surprises, as Ellie Holcomb was reminded this week. The artist explained the concept of practicing to her 2-year-old, who promptly announced that she wanted to "practice" doing tattoos. At least she's already thinking creatively!

3. More and more artists are taking advantage of the rapidly growing social media phenomenon Snapchat. Building 429 can now be added to that list. The group can be found at B429Official, where they're usnig the account to stay connected with fans in a fresh way.

4. As their song "Thank God for Something" continues to touch listeners around the country, Hawk Nelson has invited fans to share what they're thankful for in a personal way. The group posted a special phone number on their social media pages, inviting fans to call in and leave a message with what they're thankful for. Gratitude is always best when shared.

5. 1 Girl Nation partnered with LifeWay Girl's Ministry on a special side project: a devotional book. The book is called No Filter and features 40 days of devotionals for teen girls. The book will be hitting shelves soon.

6. Apparently Moriah Peters is kicking off the year by branching out. The artist shared a picture from the set of her first film on her instagram, promising "I can't wait to share more of this life changing experience with you!"

7. Tauren Wells of Royal Tailor can use his voice for more than just delivering the slick melodies of the group's pop tunes. He's also branching out into speaking. He is inviting churches and student ministries to contact him to come hang out and talk about Jesus.

8. Newsboys stopped by the radio station Spirit 1059 and took a picture with a special guest-- a cardboard cutout of Chris Tomlin. The band took advantage of the fact that it was just a cardboard version of the artist and gave him bunny ears in the picture. No word on whether or not they plan on repeating this method next time they see the real Chris Tomlin.
