On Sunday, March 14, the 63rd annual Grammy Awards aired their ceremony from the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, California. Although there was no in-person attendance this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the ceremony was still broadcast on CBS at 8 p.m. (ET).
There is a total of 83 categories this year. Winners from the five Christian/Gospel categories were announced before the live telecast.
Dolly Parton, the Country music icon who appeared with Zach Williams on the award-winning duet, "There Was Jesus" tweeted "Thank you, Jesus, thank you @ZachWilliams, and thank you to the GRAMMYs and all of our fans. I am very humbled but proud." Zach followed up with "Thank you to @DollyParton and everybody who was involved in making this song. All glory, praise, and honor to Him!"
Upon learning of his GRAMMY win, Gospel great Jonathan McReynolds tweeted two emojis. What else is there to say?
