1. Carman has big plans for Spring Break this coming year. The Christian pop pioneer is currently fundraising via his website to do a free concert in the midst of Biker Week in Daytona Beach on March 7th. His targets include members of various biker gangs including the Hells Angels, The Outlaws, Mongul Nation, and The Pagans, among others.

2. Dara Maclean's new single, "Blameless," is getting attention these days, and Dara just released a live video of her singing the song. It was recorded at The Bridge, a church in the Dallas-Fort Worth area where her husband, Donnie Petty, preaches.

3. What happens when people take their love of Colton Dixon and put it into Photoshop? Fan Art Fridays! Colton takes a look at the various graphical interpretations of his likeness and chooses one winner each week to share their work. Got a fan tribute in art form? Tag it with the hashtag #FanArtFridays this Friday, or send an email to

4. Artists are getting the particularly giving mood this month, with lots of free songs and downloads across the interwebs, and Hawk Nelson is in on it, too. They're giving away five free tunes on NoiseTrade, including four songs from made and a special bonus track, "Speak For Me."

5. One of Sidewalk Prophets' biggest fans decided to sync his programmed, impressive Christmas lights display to the band's song, "What a Glorious Night!" And the band shared a snippet of the action with their fans.

6. Plumb's working on her new record. She's been posting updates from her Instagram account, which include a picture of three things she loves: her producer Matt Brownleewe, her guitarist Jeremy Gifford, and a can of sparkling water.

7. It's been a bit of a wait for new music from the newly solo again Kevin Max, but it appears that the wait won't be much longer. Kevin said this week that his Broken Temples album is now available for preorder through a PledgeMusic campaign, which of course comes with "inventive incentives." An iTunes preorder is expected next week sometime.

8. It's one thing to release a surprise Christmas album. It's another to do that AND a surprise music video to go with it. Rend Collective is always surprising us, and their new song from Campfire Christmas, "Joy to the World (You Are My Joy)" is part music video, part lyric video and all awesome. And yes, there are ugly Christmas sweaters!
