Recently, the Unsigned Only competition took place, of which NewReleaseToday's founder Kevin McNeese was a judge. The Unsigned Only competition is for artists of all genres to be discovered and recieve exposure in the music industry.
This year, Aaron David took home first place with his song "Dirty Heart" in the Christian music category, and Lizi Bailey won second place for her song "Better." About the competition, Aaron David shared:
"For the past two years I've competed in the Unsigned Only competition. Throughout that timeframe I've received some rejections, but I've placed in the semi-finals and finals from time to time. This year I decided to give it a shot one final time." "My single 'Dirty Heart' was a perfect selection for the competition due to it's unique style. After months of waiting I received an email stating I won first place in the Christian category."
"Out of thousands of submissions, 'Dirty Heart' made the cut. It's encouraging to know that even industry professionals see the talent behind your work." Aaron continued. "All my life I've been told I have potential to make it in this industry. This accolade further cements that statement."
