Stephen Christian, frontman and founder of alt rock group Anberlin, has announced his plans to release a worship album.
In an exclusive interview with NewReleaseTuesday, Christian shared "next for me: for about two and a half years now, I've really longed to do a praise and worship record. That for me is where my heart is, where my soul is."
Christian also clarified that he does intend to finish one more album with his preexisting side project, Anchor & Braille. However, his focus is on the worship project. "Whether I tour or take that seriously or whatever, right at this second it doesn't matter," he elaborated. "The overflow of the heart, that's what the mouth speaks. That's where I'm at."
Anberlin is currently in the process of wrapping up their farewell world tour, with dates running through the end of the year. They announced their plans to disband at the start of 2014, offering up final album
Lowborn this summer.
