On August 31st, veteran CCM artist Nichole Nordeman started a Kickstarter campaign to fund her first Christmas album. In under a month, Nichole reached her goal of $70,000, and in total raised $70,957 with the help of 1,220 backers. The campaign was an "all or nothing" fundraiser, and Nordeman far exceeded her original goal.
The Christmas album will feature new original songs, as well as some of her favorite Christmas songs.
"It is strange to think in the span of my career I never recorded a Christmas album," Nichole said in her Kickstarter video. "It never seemed to be the right time, or the right window, not enough space in my life to devote myself to devote to it maybe. Until now."
