Chris Furr, bass guitarist for hard rock band
Decyfer Down since 2013, announced that he is stepping away from touring with the band.
In
a post on Decyfer Down's Facebook page, Furr said that "due to personal reasons I have decided that it's best that I step away from music and from touring." He thanked fans, the band and Jesus for the opportunity, and encouraged fans to continue to support Decyfer Down, while leaving open the possibility to a return to music in the future. "I can assure you that in one way or another I'll be back to playing music again."
The band has yet to announce a replacement for Chris Furr, though they have planned southeast dates in the month of May according to their
website.
Decyfer Down has been a staple in the CHR genre since forming in 1999, with their most recent full length record
