In mid-January this year, KJ-52 ran a "be on a song with me" contest urging rappers to submit their best "sixteen" (16 bars) to be featured on a remix of the track "Savage" from Jonah Pt. 2. The original track featured Reflection Music Group's Canon.
KJ received an overwhelming amount of responses, forcing a few extensions of the submission deadline date with the final cutoff date ultimately being February 5. Then, KJ announced the winners via his Instagram, as seen below:
Hnst-T and J. Crum were the chosen winning features selected by KJ himself. Also, Nashville-based hip-hop producer poetiCS provided the beat for the track. The remix was officially released on March 16 as a free download. Check out the SoundCloud stream and download link:
