Pop rock band Nine Lashes is hitting the studio to begin laying down vocals for a forthcoming album, according to a recent
post on social media.
In the January 2 post, the band said they would be "recording some vocals tomorrow for a new album. Pretty excited!" Longtime fans of the band who saw the band's 2016 departure from the heavier side on
Ascend, a pop-worship album, may be anxious to understand the indications of the hashtags. Using social hashtags of "#rock" and "#moreguitar," among others, the band hinted at a return to their rock and roll roots and perhaps even some elements of scream--if fans ask for it. Nine Lashes listeners may not have to wait long to hear a preview. "Be looking for us to put up a short clip," the band said in the post.
Nine Lashes was discovered by Thousand Foot Krutch frontman Trevor McNevan and has released four studio albums to date, with their Tooth & Nail Records debut
World We View described by NRT as "an incredibly strong, unapologetic rock album that brings back a raw power that has often been lacking in the genre's recent years."
