This week
Tenth Avenue North lead singer Mike Donehey and wife Kelly welcomed their fourth daughter, Margot Lawrence, into the world. Margot joins sisters Eisley, Nora and June.
"I'm all smiles, laughter and tears meeting you. You look like your mother, and perhaps the better parts of me. You're our fourth daughter. Our fourth arrow of light, set to pierce this crazy darkness. What wonder awaits you, when you open those eyes. I may never know, but I can't wait to explore this world with you. But for now, sleep. When you wake, I'm quite sure you'll move mountains. My heart swells as I think of what good works our Lord might have meant for you,"
Mike shared on Instagram yesterday with precious photos of the family's newest addition.
Margot's appearance was perfect timing, as the day after she was born, Mike had to fly to Finland for a show with the band. "It was as if she knew I was leaving for another country. So she came early. Like she couldn't wait to meet me," he wrote.
This morning Mike shared about how he struggled to leave his newborn to go play a show, but God gave him a "divine appointment" today that made it worth it. "I just got done telling the band in the dressing room how God was speaking to me through John 4:4. I was feeling really torn leaving my new baby to go to Finland. My wife gave me her blessing but I was still struggling with two full days of travel there and back in 48 hours for just a one hour set. But divine appointments are everywhere. I step into the venue to catch a glimpse of what's going on in the arena, and I meet her. This is Marta. She came from Estonia just to see us play,"
Mike shared alongside a photo with the girl.
"She tapped my shoulder and immediately tears were falling from her face. She told me our music has been used by God to save her and bless her time and time again. Just incredible. I'm so honored to serve a God who just might ask me to spend 48 hours in a plane to bless one girl. His grace is so magnificently wasteful. Divine appointments are everywhere."
