The music worlds collided over the weekend as GRAMMY award winning female superstar Carrie Underwood took to the stage at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee with a very special guest. None other than CCM darling Francesca Battistelli!
Francesca, who made her Opry debut earlier in the year, was a last-minute addition to the bill for this Saturday night's events, which also included a performance by legendary Opry inductee, Charlie Daniels (“Devil Went Down To Georgia,” “Uneasy Rider.”)
The Dove Award winning songstress took to Twitter straight away to share the exciting announcement:
"So honored to be playing the @opry again tomorrow night! Excited to share the stage with @carrieunderwood!"
There has been no signs of slowing down for Battistelli. If We're Honest, her third and latest studio project which released on April 23rd, made its debut at #13 on the overall Billboard charts, in front of dominating acts such as John Legend and Katy Petty.
You can see Francesca on the road this fall on the If We're Honest Tour, featuring Sanctus Real and Jon Bauer.
