Jason Gray has reached the highest album debut of his career with his latest project, Where The Light Gets In that is ranked No. 5 on Billboard's Top Christian Albums Chart. The record also marks the first time that Gray has worked with nine producers for an album that includes Jason Ingram, Ben Glover, Paul Mabury and Coby Wedgeworth. Where The Light Gets In delivers 12 new songs co-written by Gray, including the new single "Sparrows." The song is already No. 20 on Billboard's National Christian Audience Chart (NCA) and includes new adds from KFSH/Los Angeles, CA, WBSN/New Orleans, LA and KAFC/Anchorage, AK.
"Wow! I was so grateful to learn that Where The Light Gets In debuted at No. 5 on Billboard this week, the highest debut of any of my records," says Gray. "I'm so thankful to everyone on my team at Centricity Music and Eaglemont Entertainment, the musicians, producers, co-writers, and to everybody who bought the album, which gives me the privilege of making music for a living."
Described as one of Gray's most biographical records, the album is resonating across the board with fans, radio and the press as accolades pour in.
CCM Magazine - When you buy a Jason Gray album, you can always count on those two things to be present on every song: the hook and the heart. Where The Light Gets In has these aplenty with one meaningful, memorable pop cut after another.
New Release Today - Where The Light Gets In further solidifies Jason Gray's place in my opinion as the most gifted songwriter in the industry. His profound, deep, catchy and meaningful lyrics are often comfort to hurting hearts, proving why music is the powerful force we've come to appreciate it as. With truly not a single bad song in the mix, Jason has crafted yet another memorable album.
JesusFreakHideout.com - Where The Light Gets In is a terrific, well-crafted album that mines the darkness of its theme well, both lyrically and musically. It's by far Gray's best overall album and one of Christian music's finest statements on the how the Lord can take the mess we make and shine His light through it to make something new and wonderful.
Rockingodshouse.com - I'd like to make the case here that Jason Gray's new album, Where the Light Gets In, delivers one of the most honest yet hopeful albums I've ever heard, and, I suspect, if Bono got a hold of it, he would feel some real joy to see Christians creating art that is both honest and masterfully done.
Today's Christian Entertainment - Where The Light Gets In features a collection of incredibly well-written songs not only for worship on Sundays, but for day to day life with the recurring theme of turning our brokenness into something beautiful and new on the path to healing.
TheChristianBeat - As one of Christian music's premiere singer/songwriters, Jason Gray has by all standards exceeded expectations in creating a statement that even in our darkest times, there is an eternal source of hope.
Besides the outstanding reviews for Where The Light Gets In, Gray was CCM Magazine's feature cover story for the June 15th issue and he will have an upcoming feature story in HomeLife Magazine's November issue. Other press outlets include Worship Leader Magazine (review), CBN.com (interview), Charisma Magazine (Empower), Campus Crusade for Christ (interview), Faith Radio On The Road (interview) and he recently appeared on LeSea Broadcasting's Harvest Show.
Gray will once again be joining Josh Wilson and JJ Heller for the fall leg of their tour that launched in the spring. For additional updates on Gray: www.jasongraymusic.com, www.facebook.com/jasongray, www.twitter.com/jasongraymusic, www.instagram.com/jasongraymusic.
