Christian Music News, New Christian Music News Power pop outfit 1 Girl Nation is back and ready to take the world by storm.

The Dove-nominated group, now comprised of Kayli Robinson, Lauryn Taylor Bach and Carmen Hadley, jumped into the Christian music scene with their 2013 debut album 1 Girl Nation and hit single "While We're Young." The song immediately attracted young fans and earned 1 Girl Nation the attention of teens and tweens across the country.

Now, after some time off and a few big changes (including the loss of two members), the group has reemerged and officially changed their name from 1 Girl Nation to 1GN to reflect their maturing sound. "Our message is going to be more impacting than ever because we ourselves have been through the 'fire.' We understand more about what our fans are going through, and hopefully we can really engage them with songs and ideas that really speak to them," says founding member Carmen.

Since leaving the group, former members Kelsey Grimm and Lindsey Adamec are both continuing to do music with their husbands. Caleb + Kelsey, the side project of Anthem Lights' Caleb Grimm, began with YouTube covers and continues to build a fanbase all it's own with new videos each month. Austin & Lindsey, the new project of solo artist Austin Adamec and wife Lindsey, just announced a debut album -- featuring 6 new worship songs -- set for release in March.

With a musical style that has been compared to the likes of mainstream acts One Direction and Katy Perry, 1GN will keep the catchy, upbeat sound that we first heard from them while still transitioning into a style that will appeal to a wider fanbase.

Now gearing up for the release of their second full-length album Unite, the girls just released their new single "Get Hype." "As Christians, we have more to hope for and more to celebrate than anyone can imagine," says Kayli. "A song like 'Get Hype' is just a modern expression of the joy and excitement we should feel as members of the body of Christ."
