Switchfoot has launched a redesigned website and a series of special journal posts to mark the beginning of the new year. The content precedes their 10th studio album, which the band is currently completing in their personal studio in San Diego, California.
The journal series so far details highlights from
Jon Foreman's 25 shows in 24 hours adventure late last year and some of the
thought process behind the upcoming album, among other anecdotes and musings. Although frontman Jon Foreman has been known as a writer in his own right for several years now through contributions to publications like The Huffington Post, the journal series is allowing the other Switchfoot members to share their hearts, with entries from
Tim Foreman,
Drew Shirley,
Chad Butler and
Jerome Fontamillas all live now.
The redesigned site and journal series kick off what promises to be a full year for the band, who has already announced details of a
Switchfoot Summer Getaway to correspond with their annual charity surf Bro-Am event and the release of their tenth album. Stay tuned to
their website and
facebook page for more information to come.
