Beckah Shae and Jack Shocklee are expecting their third child next year, and the pair's creative way to share the announcement with the world has gone viral.
The Shocklees sang and rapped their announcement to the tune of Meghan Trainor's "Lips Are Moving"--and between Facebook and YouTube, it's been viewed more than 1 million times. The massive attention caught the eye of multiple news outlets, including the Today Show, who declared that family "wins the Internet."
According to Today, the video was recorded Oct. 1 while en route to a Nashville area breakfast joint. It might've been a longer than usual drive, though, as it reportedly took 18 takes to get the final product.
Soon-to-be big sisters Joy and Grace led things off by singing, "Our family's growing... we're excited!" The little Shocklee girls are getting more and more stage time, having recently been the voices of the new Scripture Snacks Kids record.
Jack provided some rapping and general hip-hop cred, while mama Beckah busted out a great verse that more than rivaled Trainor's original, as she sang, "There will be five; our family's growing! Tell me what you think it'll be! A baby boy--wouldn't that be something? Since there hasn't been any boys yet. But we'll be blessed with another sweetheart."
Stay tuned for more on the Shocklee family's upcoming... new release this May.
