Though I wasn't wowed by Crossfire, it was definitely interesting. All 617 pages of it seemed to pass by quickly. It's about a young college student who, on an impulse marries a rich Bolivian man who takes her back to his homeland. There she discovers deception and lies covering up a deep cocaine scheme. The characters are average and plot is slightly predictable. It's not Windle's best book, but it's suspenseful enough to make it interesting. 3.8 stars
