Their high-energy, interactive performances and humble ambition have made them a highly requested headlining band throughout California. When they're not headlining, they are opening for bands like Hawk Nelson, Thousand Foot Krutch, Project 86, Skillet, Falling Up, MxPx, RED, Family Force 5, Dizmas, and many more! Whether they've played for an audience of 10 or 2000, the energy and impact of their message or performance does not change. Chasing Truth started out in November 2004 with Nathan at 11 years old on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Luke at 13 years old on lead guitar, Justin at 12 years old on bass, and Max at 12 years old on drums. They all knew each other from playing in the worship band at their private school and youth group. At only 9 years old, Zac, Max's little brother, was introduced into Luke's lead guitar position during the recording of their 6-song demo cd in June 2005. As Justin's passion for guitar grew, Chasing Truth decided to start praying for a new bassist. Their prayers were answered within a year, bringing CJ to make his debut performance at Spirit West Coast in August 2007. For the past 3 years, they have been repeatedly invited to perform at major Christian music festivals, including Spirit West Coast Air1 stage, JoshuaFest Main Stage, Rock of Ages, Cornerstone, and TomFest. They have also had the privilege of performing at many charitable events including Invisible Children, Teen Challenge, The Love Alliance, Juvenile Hall, and more. With their own individual God-given writing and composing abilities, Chasing Truth released their 1st full-length album in July 2006, titled "A Debt to Pay". Their 2nd full-length album, with all new songs, titled "When the Moon Strikes Fire", was released August 2008. Both albums were recorded at The Good Shepherd's Studio in Chico, CA. Chasing Truth is a group of determined, confident, ambitious young men with wisdom and talent WAY beyond their years! They have a commitment and a passion to go as far as the music industry will allow them to go, within their moral standards, no matter how much hard work is involved. Taking the platform that God has given us very seriously, our mission is to offer positive messages through our lyrics to a desperate, hurting, confused generation who are influenced mostly by negativity in the world around them. As we build personal relationships at our shows, we're also hoping to plant seeds of love, hope, and encouragement that may one day be harvested into a personal relationship with our Savior, Jesus Christ.
