Goliath Down

Goliath Down is guitar-wailing, bass-walking, power-chick singing FUN in a God-filled package. “We believe in a Creator who loves us and a Savior who changes lives. People start out wanting to believe, but over time a junkyard wall of disillusionment, fear, anger, or addiction can form between them and God. We want to reach out, help knock that wall down so they can climb over, discover Who God is...
The band itself is the culmination of 6 years of praying, working and seeking for singer/lyricist Kristi Bridges, who has written and performed with jazz and blues musicians, but had way too much energy to stand still crooning lyrics limited to dance-hall themes. Finding a group of musicians who shared the desire to speak openly about Jesus has been like discovering Mountain Dew after being raised on dishwater.
And they are talented musicians. Bassist Steven Sherrill has played for over 30 years, and his funky riffs keep your ears alert and smiling. Justin Kasparek started teaching guitar right out of college, and the strings seem to bend to his brainwaves, without waiting for his constantly moving fingers. He gives every bit of the glory to God, insisting that every song is a gift.
I’ve collected debris In this puddle of me But when Your Spirit flows I can let it go in a whitewater rush of hope Hanging for the ride, yeah, I’m alive --Whitewater
