Sorry to say, this cd isn't one of Hawk Nelson's greatest. Smile, It's The End of The World, is MUCH better. Go buy that one! =]

In my opinion, it's not nearly as good as Smile..., but letters to the president is an amazing cd! I like the diverse sounds and lyrics! It's a cd for all times in your life, full of tracks of praise, girls, and life in general. Consider buying this cd!!!

The early Hawk Nelson. This is the debut that made them a strong band with a solid fanbase. This entire album is the kind where it can be listened to without skipping to the next. Just about every song is catchy and good. Even on their slow songs, they successfully incorporate their roots of guitars and loudness. The majority is fast-paced tracks, but the slow downs are with "From Underneath," "Right Here," and "Take Me," all worthy of listening time too. Aside from those this band likes the listener to just head bang with them, most importantly on the track "Recess," the 50-second rush of true audio adrenaline. They close with "Long and Lonely Road," another rock-infused track, with an echo of the band still in the listener's ears. It's a conclusion that leaves us wanting more. With that, two years later they release their sophomore album; but on that round, their attempt isn't so strong. Letters To The President though is definitely a key in HN's career and, sadly, most likely their strongest one they will release.
