The dozen tracks throughout This Is An Outrage range from pure bred alternative pop to assertive modern rock, wrapped around a topical plane that spans the palette of meaningful, whimsical and satirical. The scalding “Kick It Off” is sure to be a fierce concert classic and the aforementioned “Worth As Much As a Counterfeit Dollar” possesses one of the most contagious choruses in recent memory. “Night of Your Life Is When You Die” is an anthem for anyone who embraces the straight-edge scene, suggesting the party hearty mentality isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be. The energy escalating “Return” is amongst the disc’s most inspirational, while the historically slanted “Frank Morris” provides a fictional account of the famed Alcatraz prison escape.

Better than i thought!| Posted September 17, 2008
Capital Lights is an amazing artist as well as experienced. I saw them live in Highland SoCali along with Hawk Neslon as the main performance. I thought that Capital Lights was better in their own way and performed spectacularly! I highly recomend this CD though not all the songs are great but it has potential to make one of the greatest christian punk-rock bands! Get it!
I Can Listen To The Whole CD!| Posted August 27, 2008
The CD's that I really love and the ones I really feel good about having are the ones where I don't have to skip songs, and thank you Capital Lights for providing that.
This is a new band I wasn't expecting anything from and they blew me away, the comparisons to Fall Out Boy aren't far off, it is the same style but with a good message.
Addictive tracks run rampant and catchy tunes that won't leave your head are also here, a very, very solid debut and one that wont leave you dissapointed, I really want to hear more from them in the future, if they can follow this release up then they could potentially be the next big thing, but they have set the bar really high with this one.

Cool!!!! :]| Posted August 20, 2008
Capital Lights is one of those bands that get you singing along to their songs even if you hardly know the song. Capital Lights is one of those bands that will get you jumping around dancing, or at least taping your foot, depends on if you're the dancing kind. This Is An Outrage is a really great album, all of the songs are catchy, and meaningful. I suggest this CD to anyone who likes awesome music! haha
Another amazing Tooth and Nail debut| Posted August 19, 2008
Ivoryline, Children 18:3, and Search the City have put out amazing debut albums on the Tooth and Nail label and this debut album by Capital Lights is no exception. Through 45 minutes the album doesn't let up with it's party rock feel and the way the songs are put together and their sound reminded me a lot of Fall Out Boy. This album is a perfect summer CD for rock fans everywhere.
Fun rock that has some pop to it.| Posted August 18, 2008
I first heard about this band was when they got signed to Tooth and Nail records. I checked out their myspace and downloaded a song they had available on their myspace. I loved the song (Can I Get An Amen)and knew that their album would be good when it came out on tooth and nail records. I saw them live and they are good live.
The songs I really like are "Worth As Much As A Counterfeit Dollar," "Out Of Control," "Remember The Day, "The Night Of Your Life Is When You'll Die," and "Frank Morris."
The lead singer has a unique voice that stands out. I would say their music sounds like if you mixed Anberlin's music and Stellar Kart's music together. Great music. This album is worth buying.
Rock With a Capital R.| Posted August 17, 2008
Capital Lights brings an amazingly energetic sound to it with well thought out lyrics. After hearing the songs, I would not be able to guess what some of the lyrics actually were. There is no denying the talent behind this band. Bursting with energy and skill enough to dominate the Tooth and Nail limelight for a while. It's easy to enjoy atleast two songs of this Cd. My personal favorites would be "Out of Control," "Outrage," "Return," and "Worth as Much as a Counterfeit Dollar."

I found out about this album from the weekly NRT e-mail. Maybe it was this album's cover art that drew me to it or maybe it was the fact that it was one of just two albums released that week. Anyway, it only took one 30 second clip to tell me that these guys are special. I bought and downloaded the album right away and it has become one of my new favorites. It sounds like a mix of Relient K, Fall Out Boy, and Hawk Nelson with awesome out-of-the-ordinary lyrics.
