In 2007, Falling Up returned with their third and most ambitious studio record to date, Captiva. Produced by Aaron Sprinkle (Hawk Nelson, Anberlin, The Almost), Captiva picks up where the band's sophomore smash, Dawn Escapes, left off, only taking their patented, finely-crafted rock hits and beautiful dreamlike ballads to the next level.

This album was a great follow up to Dawn Escapes. My favorite song has to be "Hotel Aquarium" and the video rocks!! KEEP IT COMING
The New Sound Suits Them| Posted January 27, 2008
Falling Up's 3rd album changes completly. It's less up beat and more slowed down but I love it. Every time I listened to this album it seemed to get better and better. Captiva changes Falling Up's music style but the songs are as timeless as ever.
Mostly About Sound| Posted October 13, 2007
So I just got the new album and I was really excited about it. I heard the hit single 'Hotel Aquarium' on the radio and couldn't wait to hear the rest of the album. My expectations were high and that can somewhat explain my disappointment. Falling Up's newest album, Captiva, is much like their other two albums but with a sound that is a bit more mature. 'Goodnight Gravity' and 'A Guide to Marine Life' were two of my favorites. Falling Up is mostly about sound to me, the vocals are just okay and the lyrics don't make much sense. But I have to say, Captiva, is a good, quality album and I do recommend it.

I have been listening to Falling Up since there first CD. Out of all of them I would have to say that Crashings was my favorite. Captiva has a different sound than crashings but overall it was good. It is true that you can not tell when one song ends unless you pay really close attention. Hopefully, there next cd is better. If you like soft rock and alternative I think you would like this cd.
Different But Awesome!!| Posted October 03, 2007
it's different from their last album - a bit quieter/softer but i still love it just as much - it's definately awesome

This album is definitly the best falling up has done yet.The songwriting is amazing. they have matured over the years. They may have lost a few members but they are still doing great

I'm sorry but I think that was the most boring cd I've ever heard. Often I couldn't tell when one song ended and the other began. They all sounded the same. The only song I like by Falling Up is "Searchlights" if they had anymore songs like that maybe I'd like them...but I really don't like their new cd...
