Fantastic!| Posted May 14, 2011
I've been anticipating this album, being a big fan of Building 429 since their hit, "Glory Defined". I just bought this album today, and I've listened to every track. This album is totally awesome! By far their best work. To be honest, I can barely pick a favorite. Each song has such a powerful, different message, and an awesome sound. The lead singer, Jason Roy, co-wrote/wrote all of the songs, and they were all beautifully written. My favorite, though, has to be "Right Beside You". It was a great surprise to hear Miss. Dawn Michele, of Fireflight, featured on this song. Jason and Dawn's voices sound awesome together. (Fireflight and B429 should tour together. ;)) Over all, this album is totally awesome. If you liked any of their previous work, you will LOVE, Listen To The Sound!
A Newly B429 Fan| Posted May 12, 2011
I have heard very little of this band's music with the exception of the hit tracks that have received radio airtime over the years. I have now been listening to this new album and it is a definite solid album. The blend of rock anthems and melodic ballads creates a perfect blend of music that anyone can enjoy. The song, "Where I Belong" is grippingly powerful and is enough to make me want to run out and purchase this album. It is a gooder and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys pop worship.

The music is refreshing and inspirational. The sound is great and the message is awesome. Building 429 never disappoints. Great job guys. Definitly one to add to the CD collection and recommend to friends who don't know the Lord.
Listen to their Sound!| Posted May 11, 2011
Building 429 has taken their style and produced an album containng both new sounds and sounds that reflect their latter work. The album has profound meaninngs laced through its songs and album such as running to God, listening to God's voice, finding ourselves in Him, to name a few.
As for "the sound" of the ablum, the songs are either catchy or moving, and sometimes both, such as War Zone. I have been satisfied with Building 429 from the beginning, and I can say that I still am satisfied with them as a band as they release their new album, Listen to the Sound.
EXCELLENT!| Posted May 11, 2011
This is by far the best B429 release I have heard. There is a good mixture of tempos included on these tracks and Christ is front and center as always. Even on first listen, all of the songs stood out and caught my attention and had me singing along. I pray that they will find great success in reaching people for Christ and encouraging those who already know Him with this release.
Just got it| Posted May 10, 2011
I literally just got this new record earlier today. I am a big fan of Building 429, and I have been eagerly awaiting for Listen to the Sound to come out. Their music is fantastic, and this new album keeps that greatness going.
Amazing!| Posted April 18, 2011
I know that the album doesn't come out till May but I went to their concert two weeks ago and they played about half the songs on here. I went to the concert not being a Building 429 fan but left a huge one! Made for you and Where I belong are powerful songs with incredible messages. I would encourage anyone who has a Building 429 concert in their area to make it a priority to go see it. They are incredible performers who know that it is not all about them but always about God. You will leave changed and rocked out!
Better than I expected!| Posted May 10, 2011
I hate to admit I'm critical of Christian worship bands. I listened to this one twice because Building 429 is going to perform at a conference I'm attending in November so I wanted to be familiar with their music. These songs are diverse (vocals and instrumentals) and not the same one with different lyrics, 10 different times on the record. It's also not the same phrases sung in most of the other top 20 songs on Christian radio. I like the musical arrangements as well. Plenty of instruments... strings, and good guitar, which is my favorite. A few of the tracks are repetitive, however.
