I have always been a fan of Krystal Meyers with her rock sound. Now that she's changed to a more pop/dance sound, i wonder if i don't love her music more than i already did.

My favorite songs on the album are "Love It Away" and "Up to You". They are some of the maybe 'quieter' songs, but have a great message and/or sound. I can't really relate to the message of "Up to You" (it's about divorce) but I love the music of the song.

I haven't bought this album yet, but really want to, and soon will, but I have listened to the full tracks of the album countless times already. I recommend it to anyone who likes pop/dance music and is a fan of Gwen Stefani, and similar pop artists.

It is my favorite album by her... | Posted November 03, 2008
However, despite the fact that I really enjoy this CD and I think it is her best, people who are big fans should know her style has changed a lot since Krystal Meyers and Dying For a Heart...she is now more into pop, and much much less rock. Her songs on the Make Some Noise CD are very bubbly and perky, and do not differ much from the same styles as Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, or Ashley Tisdale--except for the fact that it is from a Christian perspective. I relly enjoy this CD but I do miss a bit of the old Krystal and the guitar solos and rock music. Another thing to know is that most of her songs on here, much unlike her other albums, don't seem to have as many God-breathed lyrics and passions and fire for Jesus Christ...half of the songs I honestly can't tell whether she is singing to a boyfriend or to God. Tracks like "In Your Hands" and "SOS" are easy to tell, but if you're the kind of person who likes it clear and plain to be able to see that she is talking about salvation and Christ, then this is probably not for you. I mean, I like the CD, but the choice is really up to you. She has changed in the past few years, but her music is still clearly amazing...check it for yourself, though.

YUCK! | Posted November 01, 2008
As my review title says: YUCK!!! Krystal Meyers is falling away from our Lord and it doesn't glorify Him to have us listening to this CD! ........ I could get on my soap box right now, but, I'm just saying that, we were made to glorify God because He's worthy.... Listening to songs that DON'T, does not glorify Him. As Christians we need to be shining His light for the whole world to see in this darkness. We need to get rid of things that hinder us from our walk with Jesus Christ. So, I'm encouraging you to, if you have any CDs or songs on your MP3/iPod or computer or anything, get rid of them. Delete them, throw them away! God's worthy of our everything, and listening to things like this, and sticking with the status quo isn't giving Him anything.

Krystal Meyer's New CD | Posted October 21, 2008
I just bought Krystal Meyers new CD Make Some Noise and I think it's a great CD. I know it might sound different from her previous music, but the songs on this CD are really good. The lyrics are encouraging and make you think about how much we all need God in our lives. They talk about God's love and care for us and how He is always there when we need Him. I would definitly recommend this CD.

This is definitely a different style for Krystal but she works it well. I'm so used to her older pieces but I love this CD.

It has a different sound and the lyrics are amazing. It's really fun to dance to also. I recommend this CD for anyone!

still young | Posted September 30, 2008
I have never claimed to be a huge fan of Krytal's work, but some of her earlier work really did strike a chord. Her lyrics from her first two albums felt much more alive and real to me, and I could relate to them, I was only waiting for her musical ability to match her lyrical abilities.

A lot of people say that this album is more mature and has a lot of sould to it, but when listening to it, I found myself discapointed. Her music style seems more mature, but her lyrics have lost their touch of honesty. I'm not saying she sold out, I just think she gets a lot of presure to be everything, and she's still so young. Hopefully her next album will be more of what I think she is capable of: genuineness, and heart.

Meyers 'Shines' on MAKE SOME NOISE | Posted September 29, 2008
On her third studio album 'Make Some Noise,' it's undeniable that Krystal Meyers has moved into a pop-dance direction, much different than the pop/rock of her first releases. It's a sudden and risky change, yes; but it works well.

No time is wasted introducing listeners to Meyers' new sound. The title track starts off as a fun, dance-y, bold call for you to stand up for what you believe in and "make some noise." It's not overtly spiritual, but makes for a great start nonetheless. "Love It Away" encourages you to trust in God when troubles arise, as well as assuring you that you are not the only one feeling this way--some of my favorite lyrics are "you're so sure that no one knows/ what you're going through/ I know exactly how you feel/ 'cause I see myself in you."

"Shine" is probably the weakest song, lyrically speaking, but the message is still there--"nobody's gonna get in the way of my shine"--you can't get in the way of who I am. However, the verses' lyrics don't seem to flow well and have little meaning behind them. A fun dance song, but nothing more.

"S.O.S." is one of the more spiritual songs and one of my favorites. "I am in distress/ Come and save my life /This is my S.O.S./ Screamin' up to the sky/ Holy Father, make us whole/ 'Cause You alone can save our souls." It's one of two tracks that could have easily fit in on 'Dying for A Heart.'

"Feels So Right" is a song that left me slightly confused--it was unclear whether the lyrics spoke of God or of a boyfriend. "Every time you look at me I'm on a hi-igh/ I need your lovin' 'cause it makes me feel ali-ive." It's got a great beat, but it's up to you to interpret the lyrics.

"My Freedom" is the second song that could have fit in on 'DFAH.' The lyrics and the way it's sung shows vulnerability and helps prove that this album has substance. "Can You hear this sould is crying, my soul is crying/ Calling out to You," says the chorus.

"Beautiful Tonight" is a song that I connected with the moment I heard it. It speaks of the temptation of sin and asks if I can still be found beautiful tonight, despite what I've given into in the past. Also a highlight of the song--when "beautiful tonight" is sung in the chorus, Meyers hits a pretty high note! It's also got a danceable beat, but somehow stands out as being "darker" than the other songs.

"Up to You" is a song that was written for a friend of Meyers who was going through a divorce, which makes it all the more personal. The lyrics describe ending a failing relationship--"You sure it's what you wanna do? I'll leave it up to you." It's also less dance-pop than other songs, showing off Meyers' voice, which has obviously improved in the 4 years since her debut album.

"You'll Never Know" is a exuberant song about the fact that you'll never have to know "the way it feels to be let go" or "the tragedy of being so alone" because you have God on your side!

"In Your Hands" is a strong end to the album. Trusting God though we may not always understand His plan is the main theme here, and I have no doubt that many will easily connect with this song.

Bottom line--fans of Krystal Meyers who are adaptable to change will love this CD as much as I do. She's moved away from the rock, but her heart hasn't changed a bit and she's done nothing but improve.

MUST LISTEN TO:
01. Make Some Noise
02. Love It Away
04. S.O.S.
07. Beautiful Tonight
