The new single from Kari Jobe embodies wonderful worship and paints a beautiful picture of the death and resurrection of Jesus. This single is the lead single for her upcoming album, Majestic.
Kari recently stated the story behind this song;
"I wrote this song with Brian Johnson and a couple of other people. Brian and I actually started this song. We just had the melodies, but we talked about a theme. The thing we kept saying was forever, just talking about how forever Jesus will be lifted high, worshiped and glorified. We wanted to paint a picture of his story of coming to earth to die for our sins and I think it does that, paints a picture of the crucifixion." – Kari Jobe

Kari Jobe Does It Once Again.| Posted February 16, 2014
After many months of waiting for this single. In this new single, Kari manages to merge a radio single and a worship song perfectly in just under four minutes. Forever talks about the death and resurrection of Christ in a very poetic and story-like way, but still remains to be a powerful and congregational-friendly, worship anthem that churches across the nation have begun to put in their setlists. One of the high points of the song is the simple declaration of, "We sing hallelujah, the Lamb has overcome".
On the musical side of things, this songs show's off Kari's soaring and powerful vocals. In my opinion, this is one of the best radio versions of a worship song; Kari kept the element of worship in song, while still managing to make it radio-friendly.
