Fans of for KING & COUNTRY generally expect Joel Smallbone to fly through the air with cymbals at some point during their set--but this takes that to another level.
While some travelers get excited about snacks more substantial than a bag of peanuts or a headrest video screen, passengers on a recent Southwest Airlines flight got the ultimate perk: a live performance by for KING & COUNTRY.
The band--fronted by Aussie brothers Joel and Luke Smallbone--delighted travelers with extremely stripped-down versions of two of their songs from Run Wild Live Free Love Strong: "Fix My Eyes" and "It's Not Over Yet," all while traveling at 500 mph at 35,000 feet.
While those aboard likely were surprised by the high-flying music, it was all part of the airline's "Live at 35" series, which has also featured in-flight tunes from NEEDTOBREATHE (watch theirs here), Imagine Dragons, Echosmith and Gavin DeGraw, among others.
The event was well-covered by the band, its fans and the passengers. We compiled a few of those videos here:
