one:nine started off as a side project of Midiboy, which is an electronica project. As Gregg started writing more and more songs for the one:nine project, the sound developed into a piano / keyboard based rock quite different from Midiboy. As he would release the singles via various music streaming sites, the songs gained quite a bit of popularity. The project expanded to include many guests musicians and writers, similar to what Alan Parsons became known for. The highly anticipated debut album releases on Oct 8, 2013 and features a total of 28 people that somehow had creative input on the album.
