Jordan Copas was born May 14, 1986 in Johnson City, TN. He always had a passion for music and writing growing up but never dreamed of actually being a music artist himself. Jordan had dreams of becoming a professional basketball player. That never worked out for him, but God had other plans.
Jordan grew up in a household with his mother and sisters and life was rough for him. He moved around alot and did not have any close friends and no male role model in his life, so Jordan turned to the streets. Many bad decisions led to many tough consequences starting at a young age, which eventually led Jordan to the cross and repentance.
Jordan has had ministry experience since he gave his life to the LORD in 2007. He has helped out with Young Life, World Changers, and FCA. Jordan has also worked for Kids Across America, Memphis Athletic Ministries, and Doulos Discipleship. Jordan went through an intense discipleship program in Memphis, TN called Downline Ministries and that is where Jordan grew and fell in the love with Jesus that much more.
Writing was Jordan's way to express himself growing up other than on the basketball court. 2008 was the year Jordan began working on his own music, he recorded his first song in 2009 and his second song in 2010 with childhood friends Synphany and Deshawn White. Jordan released his first solo project "The Playground" on 11/11/2011. "The Playground" has Jordan's first 19 studio recorded songs and is currently distributed digitally to iTunes, Amazon, CDBaby, etc. Jordan is currently with FullGrind Productions and is releasing his second music album "Daily Grind" on 6/1/2012. "Daily Grind" comes out the same day Jordan begins a discipleship program in Missouri called "Discipleship Focus." That is a way for Copas to stay on focus.
