Allan Scott is on a mission – one song, one service, and one concert at a time. That mission is to spread the message that we have been permanently cleansed and forever declared right with God through the finished work of Jesus Christ. If we based our right standing with God on our own performance, we’d fail every time. Thankfully, we can base our righteousness on the perfect performance of Jesus! This is the gospel of grace: we can approach God’s throne boldly in our time of need with no fear of judgment because of what Jesus accomplished on the cross. He became sin so that we would be made completely clean. This message is the heartbeat behind the music and ministry of Allan Scott.
Allan Scott is a songwriter and worship leader hailing from State College, Pennsylvania. Allan’s music and message of God’s redemptive grace is driven by his own tumultuous background. A drug abuser at an early age, Allan had been in rehab twice and jail once before coming to know the saving power of Jesus in 2001. As described in his testimony which recently was featured on CBN’s “The 700 Club,” this encounter with Christ is still radically changing his life.
Since 2003 Allan Scott has led worship and ministered at churches, campus groups, youth groups, retreats, festivals, and concerts throughout Pennsylvania, New York, West Virginia, and Ohio. In May 2011 Allan signed with Nashville based record label RadioActive Entertainment. The band began work in June 2011 on their upcoming EP with acclaimed producer/songwriter Scott Davis (Rush of Fools “Undo” and Kutless “What Faith Can Do.”). A single from the EP is scheduled to be released to national Christian radio during the first quarter of 2012.
The band is Allan Scott (lead vocals and guitar), Ray Ceglar (bass), Hayden Miller (lead guitar and background vocals) and Caleb Bush (drums).
