The Renewed Gospel Singers Ministries (RGSM) consists of founder and visionary Lloyd Anthony Espeut and Lorna Andrea Smith. Soulful singers, Espeut and Smith have dedicated their lives to the ministry by singing gospel songs throughout the United States. Their ultimate goal is to see souls saved for the Kingdom of God, and to become a top gospel-recording artist. The passion of RGS is to reach the homeless and those less fortunate. Both artists are songwriters, producers, and arranger. RGS’ music is a blend of contemporary modern, country, and traditional gospel, encompass calypso, reggae, and even bluegrass.

Renewed Gospel Singers have shared the stage with Jamaica’s most renowned gospel group “The Grace Thrillers”. They have also shared stage with artist such as Papa San, Stitchie, Evangelist Gobourne & the Gospel Meadows, The Southern Gospel Singers, DC’s own Richard Smallwood, Rhaa Shan Johnson, Submission Band and many more. At the 2001 Bob Marley and Dennis Brown Music Award RGS receives a trophy for gospel album of the year titled “What You Gonna Do”. “Tear Drop”, their second CD, is blessing the heart of people all over the world. RGS was nominated “Top Gospel New Artist/Singing Group of the Year” by the French International Caribbean Gospel Awards. In 2004, they also performed at the 50th Anniversary of the Brown vs. Board of Education Chamber of Commerce Minority Business Cultural Exchange Program. In March 2005, RGS performed at the 2nd Annual Pre-Easter Fest Gospel Concert in Mitchellville, Maryland. In August, RGS were invited to perform at the 9th Annual World Championships of Performing Arts in Hollywood, California where they won four Gold Medals and received a World Championship plague from their CD entitled “Tear Drops”. RGS were nominated for “Best Gospel Performer of the Year at the 9th Annual Bob Marley and Dennis Brown Reggae Music Awards 2006, which they were also asked to perform. And, at the Hopeton Lewis 6th Annual Caribbean Gospel Award U.S.A. in New York RGS were nominated for “Top Gospel CD Duet” entitled “Tear Drops” where they also performed. RGS were again invited to compete at the 10th Annual World Championships of Performing Arts in Hollywood, California where they will be representing their native island Jamaica. In August of this year 2006, with 72 countries from all over the world, RGS performed at the 10th Annual World Championship of Performing Arts in Hollywood, California and won six Gold Medals and two bronzes for their performance in Gospel. On August 6, 2006, RGS performed at the Jamaican Independence Celebration in California. This year 2007, RGS again performed and was nominated and won the award for “Best Reggae Gospel Performer 2006” at the Bob Marley and Dennis Brown Reggae Music Awards hosted by Jeannie Jones and Ez Street. The Renewed Gospel Singers are highly anointed. This awesome duo takes praise and worship to the next level.
