by Israel Houghton & New Breed | Genre: Praise & Worship | Release Date: August 31, 2010

Multiple GRAMMY, Stellar and Dove Award winner, Soul Train Award winner and double RIAA certified Gold-selling artist Israel Houghton highlights the greatest Gospel commandment with Love God. Love People. releasing August 31 on Integrity Music/Columbia Records. Featuring the musically masterful energy that has become synonymous with Israel Houghton recordings, the album also reveals special guest appearances by Kirk Franklin, Fred Hammond and Take 6’s Claude V. McKnight, III, Mark Kibble and Joey Kibble, as well as song co-writes with Meleasa Houghton, Aaron Lindsey, Tommy Sims and Michael Gungor.

“Love God. Love People. is a return to a simple, foundational Gospel command: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and your neighbor as yourself,” says Israel. “Virtually every song touches on this profound simplicity. It all comes down to ‘Love God, love people.’ Period.”

Love God. Love People. blends the musical genres of worship, rock, funk and power pop, and was recorded and engineered by Danny Duncan (India.Arie, Hillsong LIVE, Natalie Grant, CeCe Winans) at Abbey Road Studios in London.

Love God, Love People | Posted October 14, 2014
The collaboration on this album , with the likes of Kirk Franklin and Fred Hammond  makes the album so relevant. It is very difficult for us as Christains to Love God and also love people. In so many ways we may end up with some people that we do not like. The reminder of this album is just a rude awakening that the word of God says Love your neighbour as you love yourself. Love the album my brother.

Amazing | Posted August 01, 2011
This album is just amazing from start to finish. So many genre's are covered and it's never corny nor lame. This is an album that I will be able to enjoy years from now cause the music and message are timeless

Soul looses it's soul | Posted September 02, 2010
After listening to the New Israel Houghton @ NB album I found my self thinking "what just happened here???"
I mean here is a guy who is known as a worship leader, a multi instrumentalist, and a great song writer... and apart from every now and then thinking, wow that was well done, I was left with disappointment.
The first track Love God Love people was just a modern Michael Jackson rip off... please people Christians should -if anything, should be more creative because we are in touch with the God of creativity, any douche can re-hack something. I thought maybe it was just a bump early in the road so I continued listening... the more I listened the more I felt like I was listening to a Disney soul soundtrack,It was all clean and gleaming, but the soul was shallow.
the Album didn't start getting 'real' until Kirk Franklin turned up on the track Mercies and did what only Kirk Franklin can do - he did "chuuuuurch!".
Take away all the effects and the 'Auto tune'... and you could have a good album... a real album.
But this is just and over produced album.

Thank You | Posted September 01, 2010
Thank you for the opportunity to listen to this new release here on NRT. Honestly the album didn't really connect with me. Israel does have a very nice voice and I've heard from so many how his music has really ministered to them, so my connecting with it is really a pretty trivial matter. I pray that God will use this new release to touch and transform lives for His glory!

Another disappointment - Don't buy | Posted August 31, 2010
I love Israel and New Breed but the last two CD's have been not good at all. I think when you are anointed to do something you should stick with it and their strength is live Praise and Worship. Although this Cd is better than the last it is not by much.

There are a few good songs on here, but it lacks the consistency and intensity of their live projects.

It sounds like a Christian R&B albums with a few Praise and Worship songs included.

I must say, it is disappointing when professional reviewers of Christian Music write watered down reviews. It would help if people told the truth about what they hear so that people can make better decisions and not waste money because of a name.

Give me the burden removing, yoke destroying power of God over this watered cd any day. Here is to hoping their next project will be live and back to what works for them.

Kind Of Misses The Mark... | Posted August 25, 2010
Love God, Love People is Israel Houghton's upcoming release. To be honest, this specific album is sub-par. The beginning of this album leaves much to be desired but thankfully, it picks up around track number 5. Unfortunately towards the end, the album falls short again. This album is decent at best but is not what I expected after such a great like Power of One. I hope the next one is better!

Very cool | Posted August 24, 2010
It's a cool album. Sonically it's pretty sweet- It's a good personal listening album but for worship leaders it will be really tough to recreate some of the songs- so I don't really consider it a "worship album"- although songs on it could be used for worship. Vocally it's always stellar and always introduces some genre bending riffs and techniques that are fun.

Israel Houghton is such a cool singer. May God continue to bless him to make such inspiring music. May he continue to lift up and praise God through song.
