The Revolution [edit]
by Inhabited | Genre: Pop/Rock | Release Date: February 18, 2005

Who would have guessed back in 1999 when brother/sister duo Marcus and Sara Acker were asked to assemble their talents for a church worship band that the collaboration would lead to the birth of "Inhabited." In 2003, Inhabited hit the scene with is independent project, 'Innerview.' The album, based firmly upon a passion to reach kids for Christ through music, afforded Inhabited gigs in coffee houses and church services nationwide. Some might say Inhabited officially launched its career with a memorable radio interview in small-town Conroe, Texas. The local deejay handed Inhabited's album to Nashville, TN promoter Kyle Fenton, who helped propel its single 'Rescue Me' into the Top 10 on Christian Rock radio and Top 20 on Christian CHR radio. With one radio hit already on their record, Inhabited hits the national scene on July 12 with the release of 'The Revolution'.

Inhabited may not be what you call a "Big Band". But they sure deserve the title. With their rock, pop, soul, and sometimes funk sound mixed with the truth emanating lyrics of Sara and Marcus Acker, this CD brings you into a revolutionary state of mind.

The Album starts out asking God to open our eyes in the song "Open My Eyes" to what He has for us and to lead us in this confusing and ever-changing life. Then they move into the pulsing beat and the music filled with anticipation in "Rescue Me" where they call out for God to rescue us from the sins and worldly pleasures that bind us and keep us from Him. And then they come out with the song "Everybody Listen" that states that they will never back down from the mission Christ gave them no matter what the world may do to keep them quiet. then they move into "One More Night" which encourages those of us who are beaten down by the lies and pain of the world. Telling us that we aren't alone in our struggle and that God created us with a purpose. Next they talk about the ever familiar times of true desperation and brokenness when we run back to God asking for forgiveness and for Him to meet us where we are. And then they move on to describe that time in His presence in "You Are My Peace". They bring us into that calm comfort of His presence, and remind us how in our weakness He brings us to life more than any other time. And then they talk about the weakness we all face in "Save My Life" as they describe how we put on our disguises when the world comes into the picture, and how that can distract us from the true purpose He has for our lives. They ask earnestly for him to save our lives and to bring us back into what our lives should really should be. And once again in the song "Angel" they remind us that no matter what we go through, no matter what we are trapped in, God is always there. Then they bring us into full evaluation mode as they tell us to get off our Christianity pedestals in "If We Could Love". They get us to look at ourselves and tell us that we should get rid of our pride, stop condemning people so much about their imperfections, and show them the true love of Christ. Then they remind us that we to are not perfect with "Memories". They tap into that memory that we may have of things in our past we may have been running from and remind us that the only way we might get past our bad memories is to give it away to God. And they end the album with the title song "Revolution" which kicks us out of our sitting position and has us jumping up and down. It tells us to get rid of the passiveness we may have in our Christian walk and points out to us that we need to change, and to start having a revolutionary approach to our walk with God.

In light of this review I hope you will get this album and that it will encourage you to start a revolution in your life. And that you realize that God wants to change and.....revolutionize our lives, and the lives of others for him.
